Eunice Clayton Blue

Eunice was born December 11, 1923 in Roxboro, NC to the late Minnie Amos Maynard Clayton and Wallace Ralph Clayton. She was a graduate of Henderson High School and Cape Fear Community College. Eunice was employed at Carolina Telephone Company in Henderson during WWII and after marriage cared for her family. She was an active community volunteer, R.S.V.P, New Hanover Senior Center; served in leadership positions in the United Methodist Women, various church circles, classes, altar guild, sanctuary redesign and redecorating committee and hospitality committee; Active school volunteer, PTA and room mother; and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William "Billy" Wallace Clayton.

Eunice is survived by her husband, A. Preston Blue; daughters, Beverly Blue of Wilmington and Ellen B. Daniels and husband, Randy of Apex; granddaughter, Caitlin Rebecca Cook and husband, Ben; and grandson, Preston Keith Daniels.

A graveside service will be held 2pm Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 6535 Raleigh Road, Kittrell, NC 27544.
