David Glenn McDonald

David was born on February 14, 1967. He graduated from Cary High School. He worked with Right of Way Equipment in Raleigh where he has been for many years with the folks there being like an extended family to him. He was a real people person who never met a stranger. His lifetime love was fishing, the outdoors, particularly sunrises and sunsets. He had an affinity for creatures of all kinds.

David was preceded in death by grandparents Jesse Nelson, and Edith and Alton McDonald, formerly of Aberdeen, NC.

He is survived by his loving parents, Carol Nelson McDonald and Lawrence "Regie" McDonald; his sister, Marcia Surratt (Rob) and three nieces: Allison, Katie and Elizabeth; his grandmother Maude Porter Nelson; and many others who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Apex Funeral Home with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in David's name be made to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission.
