David was born January 26, 1929 in Henry County, VA to David and Bernice Kendrick. He was a 1950 graduate of Virginia Tech and employed by Appalachian Power Co. for more than 40 years. Throughout his life he was devout in his faith, most recently a member of Green Level Baptist Church.
David is survived by Jean Kendrick, his wife of 50 years; children Kathy Taylor of Apex, Scott Kendrick of Beaver, WV and their spouses; grandchildren Preston and Megan Kendrick and David, Adam and Jayne Taylor.
A funeral service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Green Level Baptist Church, 8609 Green Level Church Rd., Cary, with burial to immediately follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service from 10:00am to 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David’s name to Green Level Baptist Church AWANA program, 8509 Green Level Church Rd., Cary, NC 27519.
