Happy birthday Charles. I love you and I know so many people love and miss your sweet smile. Today we celebrate you and give thanks to have gotten to know you and call you a friend.

Charles was not only a friend to me, but both of my brothers as well.  My parents adored him.  He was a cherished member of our friend group and never failed to make each one of us smile.  He was always trying to have a good time, and always made sure that his friends were doing the same.  
Charles, those who know you best know how contagious your laugh was, how big your heart was, and how important your friendship is.  Everything we do we will do with you in our thoughts and our hearts.  Thank you for all the memories, we love you. 

My daughter, Caroline, attended Salem Middle and the years Charles attended Apex High School. She though the world of Charles. She said he was so smart and funny.  I had the pleasure of meeting Charles several times and really enjoyed talking with him. He and Caroline were going to attend a dinner with friends. Charles insisted on making the food and they were at our house. He left a plate for us and it was delicious.  I know he was loved by so many. Words escape me to express our sorrow to your family. We are so deeply sorry. Please know that we are thinking of your family. 

My son, James, has been friends with Charles since they started high school together. I know he very much enjoyed their friendship and always spoke fondly of him. Every time I saw Charles he was always smiling and laughing, causing others to laugh as well. He was truly loved. 

Charles was a respectful, kind young man. He was very polite when he visited our home and he always greeted everyone with his infectious smile. He will truly be missed!  His family are in our thoughts and prayers.
