Charles was born December 16, 1937 in Leslie, GA to the late William Dorsey Liles and Wynonah Potter.
He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and Asbury Theological Seminary. Charles was employed as an aerospace engineer in Oak Ridge, TN, retiring with over 38 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Charles is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sheria Kay Miller Liles; sons, Stephen Edward Liles (Hillary) and Stuart Douglas Liles (Tina); sisters, Shirley Pittman and Joyce Brown and four grandchildren, Abigail, Elisabeth, Alex and Drew Liles.
A memorial service will be held 3pm Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Cary Alliance Church, 4108 Ten Ten Rd, Apex, NC 27539. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
