Carol blessed this world on June 15, 1950 in Bluefield, WV to the late Thomas Bowles and Los Angeles Brooks. She was a veteran of the US Army and retired as a supervisor for the Federal Government after 30+ years. She was a loving wife, mother, Nana and friend to many people.
After retiring, she spent a lot of her time visiting friends and family, and fishing. Some of her happiest memories were at the beach. She volunteered with the Apex Police Department, assisting her daughter, with the Christmas with a Cop program and assisted with multiple events throughout the year with the police department in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics North Carolina.
She is proceeded in death by her father Thomas Bowles; mother Los Angeles Brooks; stepfather Ivory Whitt Brooks; sister Catherine Carter and brother Michael Bowles.
Carol is survived by her loving husband Earl Sellers of Holly Springs; daughter, Susan Metz and husband Frank of Holly Springs; the apple of her eye grandson Kaedyn Metz of Holly Springs; sister Judy Mandakunis of FL; brother Thomas “Tommy” Bowles and wife Judi of NJ; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral service arrangements for Mrs. Sellers will be held on December 7th, at 3pm at Apex Baptist Church.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be made to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics North Carolina (Apex Police Department campaign).
