Melvin Lloyd McClain (Mel) of Ramsey, formerly Rogers, MN passed away April 13th 2024 at the age of 74 years old after a valiant battle with dementia. Mel departed in the quiet stillness of the night, at home with his beloved wife by his side .

Children; Becky (DJ) Fisher, Andy (Melody),Timothy (Jenny), & Kate McClain.
God-daughter Amy Baldwin.
Grandchildren; Annamarie (Rex) Peterson, Bethany McClain, Caycee (Mitch) Frank, Evelynn (Matthew) Allar, Andrew T. Bryce, Curtis, & Emmitt McClain. Michlyn (Derek) Stone, Erin (Shaylar Burnell) Fisher, Jace, Scout & Tarekech Fisher. Sonny, Novi & Cedar Czyscon. Ivy Reutzel-Morrell, Orion Reutzel, Fen Smitke-Morrell.
Great Grandchildren; Zayden Reutzel-Morrell, Maverick, Yvanika, Harvey & Avelyn Peterson.
Mel's siblings; Mary (Bob) Kinney, Gene (Gail) McClain and many more friends and family.
Predeceased by parents; Ronald & Susan McClain and sister Carol Morey. Grandchildren; Laura Fisher and Jackson Peterson.
Melvin enjoyed the outdoors, especially pheasant hunting, ice fishing, motorcycles, & going for long walks. More recently he loved going for long drives to see whitetail deer.
He loved time spent on farms, at his cousins in youth, later as adult, at his sons, with several grandchildren alongside him. Grampa Mel absolutely loved spending time with his grandkids and family. He always knew how to make others smile and laugh. He was an awesome hugger. He always had an encouraging word. Mel had many skills and talents, and lent a hand to friends, family, neighbors, even strangers. Mel believed in Jesus Christ as his savior and his life's motto was to "always keep God as your nucleus" Isaiah 26:3.
