Jeff was born February 12th, 1961. He was the 4-pound, premature son of James and Maryanne Geldert. The Minneapolis native attended South High School and grew up with his sister and three brothers who he had a close relationship with throughout his life.
He loved spending time with his wife Sue. They worked in the Garden together and had a shared passion of taking care of all the hungry critters in the neighborhood. They enjoyed visiting Sue’s Daughter Stephie (Daryl) and their 3 Grandchildren, Morgan, Claudia, and Vivian. Jeff often cooked interesting and unique dishes for Sue to try. Writing poetry was another one of His Passions. His most prized work was a published poem titled “Loving Spirit” inspired by his trust in God.
Jeff attended First Baptist Church in Saint Francis where he had many good friends. He always looked forward to “hanging with the guys.” They went bowling, fishing, hunting, and helped at each other's homes. A loyal friend, loved by many for his funny, outgoing, and quirky personality. His happy, loving, smiling spirit will be missed by His Family and Friends.
Preceded in death by his parents James and Maryanne (Stelton) Geldert; his grandparents Ralph and Madeline Stelton, and Henry and Lauretta Geldert.
Survived by his wife Susan Geldert and her extended family; his sister Melodee (Steve) Klein; His brothers Lyndon Geldert, Kevin Geldert, and Lyle Geldert. Along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date
