ANNISTON – Funeral service for Mr. Jerry Clent “Buddy” Lloyd, 78, will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Monty Clendenin officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Lloyd passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Betty R. Lloyd of Anniston; daughters, Kathy McKleroy of Jacksonville, Terri Edgar of Kennesaw, Ga, Kathy Atkins of Birmingham; sons, Randy Lloyd of Macon ,Ga, Billy “Rocky” Lloyd of Jacksonville; sister; Jean Chastain of Anniston; 15 grandchildren ,7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews

Pallbearers will be Andrew Smith, Jonathon Smith, Ethan Smith, Ronald Foster, Tony Foster, Charles Chastain Jr., and Nick Conner.

Mr. Lloyd was a native of Alabama and resident of Anniston. He retired from Lee Brass with 44 years of service and was the founder of the Lee Brass retirees’ breakfast club. He was a Veteran of U. S. Navy. He was a board member of Westminster Apartments. He was affiliated with little league baseball for 22 years. Mr. Lloyd was an Elder and member of Leyden Hill Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Lloyd is preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Nell Lloyd; parents, Mathis and LouNeal Lloyd; 4 sisters, Marie Williams, Icie Lee Bennett, Mary Traywick, Faye Mayne; 2 brothers, Dock Lloyd, Buck Lloyd. Special thanks to Alacare Home Health and Hospice.
