Shirley Jean Smith Kelley

Funeral service for Shirley Jean Smith Kelley, 76, of Blue Mountain, will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Gray Brown-Service with Rev. Bryain Watts officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Kelley received her angel wings on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at RMC.

Mrs. Kelley is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, William H. “Bill” Chappell; daughter, Connie Kelley Hammonds (Gene) of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Misty Miller of Hartselle; great grandchildren, Cheyenne Dothard and Caleb Robertson; sister, Edna Wildman (Tommy) of Anniston; several nieces and nephews; and special caretakers Linda Harmon and Jill Hogue.

Mrs. Kelley is preceded in death by her daughter Jane Marie Kelley; son, Gary Ritchell Kelley; and parents, Comer and Rena Smith.

Mrs. Kelley was a lifelong resident of Anniston. She was a member of the Anniston Moose Lodge. As well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where she held various offices throughout her time as a member.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the National Diabetes Association or a nationally recognized Native American association.
