Michael Scott Bearden

Michael (affectionately known as "Bucky" to friends) was born in Hodge, LA on December 10, 1968 to John W. "Butch" and Peggy Bearden.

He is survived by his parents, 2 daughters, Hannah Fowler (Charlie), and Abbie Tate (Cory); Grandchildren Enslie Fowler, Lawson Fowler, and Adleigh Tate. Mother of his children and lifelong friend, Stephanie Horton; Sisters, Shelley Croft (Scott), and Mandi Cable (Steve); Grandmother, Barbara Pace; Step-daughters, Maegan Dunn (Donny), and Carsyn Crumley; Step-grandchildren Hollyn Dunn, and Hudson Dunn.

Numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.

An avid outdoorsman, Michael enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting as often as possible. He never missed a good thrift store trip, and he loved to tell a good joke. As a die-hard LSU fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on the Tigers.

Michael is preceded in death by his wife, Stacy Bearden; grandfather, Laine Pace, and grandparents Dub and Angie Bearden.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 3pm. Visitation will be from 2pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, Michael requested any donation should be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.
