The funeral service for Marilyn G. Ingram, 70, of Jacksonville, will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Williams with the Rev. Ryan Linkous officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Ingram passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Dolores (Ponder) Green.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Gary Ingram; children, Walter Ingram (Donna) and Katrina Lipscomb (Chad); Grandchildren, Wilson Lipscomb, Wyatt Ingram (Destiny) and Wrynne Lipscomb; great grandson, Pryce Lipscomb; brothers, Denis Green (Peggy) and Mark Green; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was a 1972 graduate of Jacksonville High School and received her Educational Specialist Degree from Jacksonville State University. The majority of her years were spent teaching at Alexandria Elementary School as a Kindergarten teacher. She also served as an after-school teacher for many years. She was Teacher of the Year several times. After retiring from the school system, she became Daycare Director for Children's House until their closing and served as Daycare Director at First Baptist Church of WIlliams Daycare until 2019. She served as church pianist at First Baptist Williams for over 54 years.

The family would like to extend special thanks to caregivers; Carrie, Julie and Cindy and Amedisys Hospice. Also, to First Baptist Church of Williams families for the many meals prepared the last few months.
