Kevin Eugene Hurt

Funeral service for Kevin Eugene Hurt, 35, of Oxford, will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Word Alive in Oxford with Rev. Kent Mattox and Rev. George Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11-1 pm at the church. Mr. Hurt passed away Sunday morning at UAB.

Survivors include his fiancé, Christa Hulsey; daughter, Hayleigh Hurt; son, Kevin “Bubba” Hurt; step-children, Jayden, Jayce and Jaxon Hulsey; mother, Regina Hurt; fathers, Chris Hurt (Kelly) and Dwight Burrough; brother, Christopher Hurt; step-sister, Meghan Johnson (Neal); step-brothers, Jonathan Owens and Anthony Owens; ex-wife, Beth Hurt; aunt, Teresa Echols and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Hurt is preceded in death by his best friend, Evan Pinson; and grandmothers, Bertha Poland (Howard) and Carolyn Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jared Poland, Steven Lloyd, Jon Poland, Anthony Owens, Jonathan Owens, Justin Adams and Chris Bennett.

Mr. Hurt was a faithful follower of Christ. Mr. Hurt was very athletic and enjoyed spending time outdoors. His greatest love was spending time with his children. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
