Kenneth Eugene Carter

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Carter, 87, of Ohatchee, will be Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Sam Fordham and Pastor Brain Willam officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will have visitation one hour prior to service time. Mr. Carter passed away at his home on September 28th, 2024.

He is survived by his wife of 68 1/2 years, Eloise Carter; children Jeff Carter (Lethia), Jason Carter (Pam), Shelia Wilson (Andy); grandchildren, Kevin (Erica), Rusty, Matt (Stephanie), Micah (Stefanie), Josh (Jessica), Jessica (Clay). Jeremy (Heather), Kylie (Evan), Drew (Shelby), Kendall; a host of great-grandchildren; nieces, Glenda Frames and Rovene Williams; nephew, Waymon Pence.

Mr. Carter is preceded in death by his son, Joel Carter; father, Joseph Carter; mother, Lula Laney; brothers, Harvey Laney and J.B. Carter; sister, Gladys Pence.

Pallbearers will be Kevin, Rusty, Matt, Micah, Josh, Jeremy, and Drew.

Kenneth was an amazing man, father, husband, grandfather and father-in-law. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. You never saw him without a smile on his face. His wife Eloise was his pride and joy. Kenneth was an inactive deacon and was a member of Oak Bowery Baptist Church. He will be missed deeply and loved so much by many.
