Joey Franklin Ward

Joey F. Ward, April 21, 1943 – December 31, 2023 born in Childersburg, Alabama, to Carl A. Ward and Jewel T. Parker, peacefully passed away on December 31, 2023. It is with profound sadness that we announce his departure, leaving an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his cherished family and friends.

Joey was preceded in death by his parents, Carl A. Ward and Jewel T. Parker, and his beloved son, Robert C. Ward, along with his brothers, William M. Ward, and Kenneth “Sonny” D. Ward.

He is survived by his devoted sister, Joan Eason, and brother, Dean Morris. Joey's legacy continues through his children, Michael Ward, Steven Ward, Shanna Farrow, and Benjamin Ward. As a proud grandparent, Joey is survived by 18 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Joey's life journey began with a sense of adventure and a call to serve his country. He proudly dedicated himself to the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, he worked as an electrician and business owner, which gave him many opportunities to traverse the globe. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, talking politics, and Alabama football.

Joey's memory will endure in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
