The family will receive visitors one hour before the service. A brief burial service will follow at Forestlawn Gardens in Anniston, Alabama. Buddy, also known to many family and friends as "Fuzzy", passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 17, 2023. He was 85 years old.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Barker McFall and his parents, Bessie Ora and Julius Montgomery McFall.
Buddy is survived by his four children, sons Jim McFall and Keith McFall, his daughters Gina Kidd (Kovin) and Tammy Philippi (Karl), as well as his sister Jane Morrison. Buddy is also survived by his five grandchildren Dalton Stanley, Kayleigh Brantley (Darren), Cassidy Jesmer (Mason), Dacie McFall, Austin McFall (Allie) and one great grandchild, Birdie Gail McFall.
Buddy attended Oxford High School and was a retired security officer with Weiser Security Service.
Buddy was a quiet man but was a deeply devoted and loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He was a true friend to those who were fortunate enough to be counted among his circle of friends.
For many decades, you could see him every Friday night cheering on the Oxford High School football team whether it was a home game or on the road. He also made many trips to the plains of Auburn to watch his beloved Auburn Tigers play at Jordan-Hare Stadium and when he couldn’t be in the “loveliest village”, he let the radio or television transport him to the 50-yard line.
Pallbearers for the service are Dalton Stanley, Austin McFall, Kovin Kidd, Mason Jesmer, Darren Brantley and honorary pallbearer Karl Philippi.
The family would like to offer their sincerest gratitude for the outpouring of love and kindness during their time of loss. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the American Cancer Society or a medical charity of your choice in memory of their Dad.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.graybrownservice.com for the McFall family.
