Weaver– Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Cornelius Pitts, 79, of Weaver, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Brown officiating, with burial to follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 p.m. till service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pitts passed Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at her residents. She was a native of Oneonta and a resident of Weaver.
Mrs. Pitts is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Sonny) Miller; son, David (Wanda) Pitts; sister, Susie Whisinant; grandchildren, Brandi (Chad) Johnson, Jeff, Jeremy, and Justin Medders, Jessica (Mike) Starr, Casey Miller, Katie (Bobby) Mardant, and Anna Pitts; great grandchildren, Tanner and Olivia Starr, Hayden Medders; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. Mrs. Pitts attended Cedar Springs Baptist Church, and attended Cleveland High School.
