Weaver - Funeral service for Mrs. Gayla Leahey Reaves, 57 of Weaver will be Friday, April 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Snow officiating with burial to follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8p.m. at the funeral home and Friday morning from 12 p.m. until service time.
Mrs. Reaves passed away April 23, 2013 in Saks.
Mrs. Reaves is survived by her husband, Phillip Reaves; mother, Frances Rebecca Leahey; sister, Cathy Houston; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sybil and Raymond Reaves; and nieces and nephews, Nicholas (Brandi) Warren, Lance (Anna) Dodd, Ethan and Aiden Warren, Brayden, Gracie, and Abigail Dodd.
Mrs. Reaves was preceded in death by her father, Frank Leahey; grandparents, Joseph and Mary Leahey, and Herschel and Katherine Bonds; uncles, Charles Leahey and Joseph Edward Leahey; aunts, Bernice Stitt and Hazel Leahey.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Reaves, Nicholas Warren, Lance Dodd, Charles Kirkland, Ethan Warren, and Brayden Dodd. Honorary pallbearers will be Gracie Dodd, Abigail Dodd and Adian Warren.
Mrs. Reaves was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a member of McCoy United Methodist Church and attended Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers family request donations to be made to the local Rely for Life.
