A celebration of life for Charles Lelton Ogle of Ohatchee will be held on February 16, 2022, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Starling and David O’Dell officiating. Visitation will be from 11 am -1 pm with the service to follow at 1 pm. Graveside services will be held at the Hebron Cemetery following the service. Charles went home to be with his Savior on February 12, 2022, at the age of 69.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Ogle Watts (Jeromy); grandson, Noah Sparks; granddaughter, Sarah Sparks; brothers, Clark Ogle (Lorette) and Royce Ogle (Kathey); sisters Kathy Buckhannan (Don) and Judy Upton (Jason); aunt, Fay Carter Miller; several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Sam Ogle, Jr. and mother Lila Marie Ogle, both of Anniston, AL.
Charles was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and attended Saks High School. He owned and operated many small businesses throughout his life and spent many years in the fundraising business working with volunteer fire departments. He served many years as an official with the East Alabama Football Officials Association. He was a lover of music and singing and spent many of his last years traveling and singing with the Memory Lane Quartet.
He was and will always be known for his gift of bringing humor to all, having the ability to bring even the most impossible ideas to fruition, and being extremely devoted to all that he was passionate about. He will always be remembered as a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
