Carolyn "Cat" Yates McGuire

Carolyn is survived by her sister Gail Weaver; her nieces Fran Johnson (Tim), Donna Timmons (Keith), Anita Stovall, Stephanie Harris, her nephews Michael Holmes and Chuck Owen.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her son Jerry McGuire; her parents Avery and Sarah Yates; her sisters Vivian Holmes and Elizabeth Yates; her brothers Donald Yates, and Rodney Dale Yates.

A memorial service for Carolyn will be Thursday at 3:00 PM at the Oxford Church of Christ with Reagan Amos and Dr. Vance Moore officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 2:00 PM at the church.

Carolyn was a resident of Calhoun County and went to Oxford High School. She was a member of Oxford Church of Christ. Carolyn enjoyed black and white movies and gameshow networks, she also loved reading and puzzle books and taking care of animals.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carolyn's memory may be made to League for Animal Welfare or Rainbow Omega.
