Earl Junior Paugh, 86, of Greensboro, MD, passed away on December 5, 2021, at Shore Medical Center of Easton following a lengthy illness. He was born in Tunnelton, WV, and grew up in that vicinity, attending University High School, Morgtantown, before joining the Marine Corps. He graduated from University of West Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and then a Masters of Arts degree. He began teaching in Front Royal, VA, then in Howard County, Md., before moving to Glen Burnie, MD, where he taught life sciences at Glen Burnie High School for many years. After receiving a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling at Bowie State College, he was a guidance counselor at Old Mill Middle South in Glen Burnie until his retirement in 1997. He was also a respected coach of football, baseball, basketball, and a little league umpire in the Glen Burnie area.
During his life he was an avid outdoorsman and pursued hunting, fishing, and family camping.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Heaps Paugh of 45 years, 3 sons, Eric, Marc, and Jeffrey, and 8 grandchildren, Rebecca, Hannah, Henry, Brian, David, Michael, Chris, and Kaylee.
There is to be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to a local Veterans of Foreign Wars or to the American Cancer Society.
