Joanne,  Deepest condolences on the passing of Danielle. 

I'm am deeply sorry for your loss, and the unimaginable pain that each of you are experiencing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences as you navigate this difficult time. I hope happy memories of Danielle comfort and helps you to heal. 

Danielle and I were friends in high school. We played soccer together for a bit and we both complained about how much we hated running. I remember she was fiercely competitive on game day and always had the team spirit. I remember her being so hilarious, down-to-earth, and friendly to everyone. We drove to senior week together and she made me laugh with the windows down and music loud the whole way to Ocean City. 

Danielle was a unique ray of light in a dark world, at least when I had the pleasure of her regular company. She was able to greet everything with a grin and a unique perspective. She teased without a bad nature, forgave honestly, and treated other people how she wanted to be treated. I said to myself a thousand times "I should get back in touch with Danielle" once I came back to Annapolis, and now I'm sure that idea will continue to echo in my mind for years to come. 

Love you Danielle. You were one of the rare good ones.

For years Danielle graced me with her loving friendship, indomitable humor, and sisterly protection. She was the exact person you wanted as a companion while navigating growing up. 

Two nostalgic memories stand out:
- Working at Quiet Waters Cafe together with Tiffany and Jessica. We all had to have work permits signed by our parents since we were barely 14, and Danielle even drove me to work on a few occasions. She was an experienced chef even at that age, and always kept the music playing, jokes flying, and chicken tenders frying. It was kind of like being at camp with friends while getting paid.

- We wrote Saturday Night Live and Will Ferrell fan letters and pitched them ideas for shows fully thinking they'd hire us. Comedy, laughter, and entertaining others came so naturally to Danielle. After three years of waiting, finally, SNL and Will sent us a reply the year we turned 16. We thought it was a sign and talked for hours about moving to and living in New York as comedians.

Danielle left a lasting impression on me and everyone she met. The loss is immeasurable and I am keeping her partner, family, and friends in my thoughts. I hope she, Grandma Jo, and Bubba are together and resting in peace.
