It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Tessmer, a wonderful man who brought warmth, kindness and joy to all who knew him. He was predeceased by his loving and devoted parents, Estel Tessmer and Rose Tessmer (Block). Thomas spent 34 happy years at the Clayman House, where he called his home. He made wonderful friends, was cared for by supportive staff, and flourished in a loving environment.
Thomas was known for his friendly and warm nature, making friends easily wherever he went. To know Tom was to love him. He had a deep passion for sports, whether he was cheering on his favorite team or playing himself and was quite a gifted athlete. . It was one of the many ways he connected with the people around him. He enjoyed spending time at IHOP, where he spent countless hours enjoying meals with his friends. Tom was good to all who knew him and shared many laughs with others.
He is survived by his cousins Andrew Block (Yvette), Diane Courtney, and Bruce Gaines (Bonnie). His memory will also be cherished by his second cousins, Stacy Bellmore (David Meyers), Robyn Cohen (Bruce), Christina Gaines, Gavin Gaines, Ellen Westrich, and Jeff Westrich (Julie).
Thomas leaves behind a legacy of friendship, kindness, and love. He will be deeply missed by many and will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
