Bob was born May 3, 1940 in Charlotte, NC, the son of Robert M. Man, Sr. and Edna Henley Man. He graduated from the University of the South, Sewanee TN, with a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy in 1962; he received a Master's Degree in Higher Education from the University of Michigan in 1975. In 1978 he and Mary Janet Reason were married at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Ann Arbor.
Bob was employed by the University of Michigan as Coordinator of Space Analysis in the Office of Financial Analysis until his retirement in 1995. He served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years, retiring as Captain, U.S. Naval Reserve, in 1992.
Besides his wife, Bob is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Man, Oldsmar FL, sister-in-law Kay F. Reason, Ann Arbor and brother-in-law, James K. Reason, Plymouth.
A memorial service is planned for May 23, 2023, St. Clare's Episcopal Church in Ann Arbor, at noon, with visitation at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare's Episcopal Church, to the University of the South, or to a charity of your choice. Envelopes will provided at the church.
