My Dear Cousins,

Mary and I wish you peace and comfort in the knowledge that your dear father is now in heaven.  We know the dreadful pain of losing parents and siblings and share with you in sympathy.  You are and will continue to be in our prayers.

I am so very sorry for your loss of Ray.  He meant so much to me.  All the Tiger talks we had, games we watched together cheering those boys on to many wins!  Great old movies we watched together. I will always remember him fondly.  What a priviledge to have known Ray.  xoxo virginia

My mother and our family send our sincerest sympathy.  I don't know how many of the Rassette second generation cousins are left.  My Mother, Pat (Patricia Rassette) Kirchhoff and her sister K. Therese (Rassette) Lynn  are the only survivors in their family.  I met your Dad several times when we would visit Aunt Ann, or when my Grandfather, Louis was in town.  I have very found memories of Rita and Fabian.  We knew that Rita had passed away, but I didn't know Laurence had also.  I believe his wife's name is Anne.  Is she still with you?  

My children know and are endeared your Grandmother, Aunt Ann because of my Mom's fond recollection of the time she spent with your Dad's family while my Grandmother was confined to the TB sanitarium,  by the story Aunt Ann  wrote about the Rassette family's early years as pioneers in Minnesota, and growing up in UP,

Dear Connie: Your dad was a treasure. We will fondly remember the  sounds of Tigers games and classical music gently flowing from downstairs on warm summer nights. He was a true gentleman. Shortly after complementing him on the beautiful roses outside his window, he delivered a bouquet to our doorstep. What more can one say? 

Take care of yourself and Biscuit as the two of you have been through so much. For what it is worth, you two and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

His heart was full of love and compassion for others and he had a great smile and was quick to share it.  You all surrounded him with your love and care and truly there is no greater gift!
