On Thursday, February 10, 2022 Michael John Holtz (Mike) of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away at the age of 52. Born October 20, 1969 he spent his early childhood in Monroe, Michigan. Mike moved to Ann Arbor in 1978 where he resided until his passing. Mike had a passion for trucks, especially monster trucks and could be found working on his Bronco with any spare time he had. Mike worked in jobs where his infectious smile and kind words were not easily forgotten by his customers. Although he had many challenges in his life he was always there for a friend in need and every one he met was made to feel they were a friend immediately. He never judged or questioned when someone was in need. He would give all that he had to help a loved on and has touched many lives with his accepting ways and giving heart.
Mike is survived by his father, Victor Holtz (Paula Holtz), his mother, Mary Jones (Carl Jones), his brother Matthew Holtz and his sisters, Angela Cesar, Amanda Weinstein and Elizabeth Ann Holtz. He is also survived by is son, Jace Dondero whom he loved more deeply than anything else for the 5 years he was able to be his Dad. He was a better father than he was a friend and inspired all that were lucky to see him with Jace. Mike was always building things for Jace and playing with him as well as parenting him and loving him. Jace loved his dad wholeheartedly and his eyes would sparkle and he would smile whenever he was near. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM Friday, February 18, 2022 at Muehlig Funeral Chapel.
