Born in Ann Arbor in 1953, Mary Beth held a number of different careers throughout her life: a urologist’s assistant in Saginaw, travel agent in Dexter, and finally unit clerk at the U of M hospital. An avid traveler, she visited countries like Poland, Yugoslavia, Italy, Ireland, the UK, and Mexico.
She was a voracious reader and lover of art in its many forms, from film to theatre to music and dance, and was herself an avid dancer in her younger years.
She is preceded in death by her father Joseph and mother Mary Ferne, and her brothers William and David. She is survived, and loved, by her sister Lori, her brothers Robert and Vincent, her nephews Conor and Brian, her niece Jessie, and her great-niece Ivy, as well as her many cousins across the country.
A celebration of her life will be held in the summer, contact the family or check back here for further details.
