Jo Ann Kimbrough (nee Greiner) was born to Ellsworth and Beatrice Greiner, in Columbus Ohio.
Jo Ann studied History of Art at Ohio State before marrying William Kimbrough in 1953.
Jo Ann and William made their home in Ann Arbor throughout the rest of their respective lives, having two children, Betsy and Doug.
Jo Ann created beautiful and welcoming homes, in Burns Park and later Barton Hills. Her door was always open, throwing lavish Tailgate & Christmas parties as easily as whipping up a dozen or more grilled cheese sandwiches for the gang of hungry children whom she always welcomed with a smile.
Jo Ann was a member of Ann Arbor Womens City Club and Racket Club and volunteered at Mott Hospital.
She was a game woman, young at heart, always open to adventure, an intrepid traveler, never judgmental, always open to new ideas.
Jo Ann is survived by both her children, three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed.
There will be a tea party in her memory on Monday 5th September
