In addition to the most delicious potato salad and deviled eggs this world has ever known, Jeri Lena (Williamson) Sizemore leaves behind a grieving family and close friends with countless wonderful memories. Sadly, Jeri passed away at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit on June 11, 2019. Jeri was born the third of three daughters to Hester and Buford Williamson on May 2, 1952 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Both parents preceded her in death along with her eldest sister, Cheryl Gordon, of Las Vegas, NV. Hester and Buford were so sure that their third child was going to be a boy that they picked the name Gerry. Gerry was the name placed on the birth certificate, even though a baby girl was born. Our Jeri was a lovely and wonderful version of her own spelling, which she officially changed as a teen. Jeri was kind, warm, loving, and always there to listen when someone needed to pour out their heart or share their woes. She was an absolute pleasure to know; a dear friend to many. After dating in high school, she married Ron Sizemore on September 27, 1975. They have a son, Ryan Sizemore (Lisa) of Goodyear, AZ and a daughter, Keri Adkins (Kelly) of Saline, Michigan. The true delights of her life for the past 10 years were her granddaughters, Harper Jane and Eva Ryan, who lovingly called her Maya. Her surviving sister, Karen Kmetz (Mike) resides in Phoenix, Az. Jeri was extremely close to her sisters and visited often. She treasured all the time they spent together, be it shopping sprees, playing slot machines in Vegas, or chatting around the kitchen table. She has one Niece, Heidi Thistle of Beaverton, OR (Bryan and great nephew London) and a nephew, Jason Gordon of Las Vegas, Nevada. In-laws who will miss her greatly are Rolland Jr. and Sharon Sizemore of Ypsilanti, MI, Jim Gordon of Lansing, MI, and Rolland Sizemore III of Brighton, MI (great nephew and niece, Noah and Abby of Fenton, MI). Jeri called Saline, MI home for 40 years and was a dedicated employee of Ypsilanti Township Civic Center for over 30 years. She was deeply loved and will be missed each and every day. A memorial service will be held on July 13th at 3 pm located at the First United Methodist Church of Saline, 1200 N. Ann Arbor St., Saline, MI. A celebration of her life will follow at the church hall immediately following the service, light refreshments served.
