Vince was born on October 12, 1939 in Sioux City, IA. He was raised by his adoptive parents, Bill and Helen Bindner. In 1957, Vince graduated from high school and attended technical school for a year. He joined the Army in 1958 and served until 1962 at which time he entered the reserves until 1964. He then began a career with REC (Rural Electric Cooperative) in the town of Orange City, IA where he also helped his father with farming. A few years later, Vince transferred to REC in Littleton, CO where he met the love of his life, Judy Ashley. The two were married in Littleton on April 4, 1970. They relocated to Marshalltown, IA and Vince continued working as a lineman for REC until starting his own business as an electrical contractor in 1975. For 35 years, Vince operated his business B & B Electric until retiring in 2010. In 2017, Vince and Judy moved to Ankeny to be closer to family.
Those who knew Vince will remember a good natured, funny man who loved to kid around. He was one of the most likeable people you could ever meet. Everywhere he went he ran into someone he knew and had to say hello. He had a huge love for animals, especially dogs. In his free time, Vince enjoyed restoring classic cars. He also liked going golfing, watching baseball, and was a passionate Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers fan.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Judy; children, Paul Bindner, Katie (Brent) Ewing, and Nolan (Amber) Bindner; five grandchildren; and half-sister, Mary Meehan. Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Helen.
