Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ankeny First United Methodist Church, 206 SW Walnut Ankeny, Iowa 50023. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Ankeny, Iowa following the service.
Tom was born March 22, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa to Thomas V. and Dorothy (Griesel) Towers. He graduated from Bondurant-Farrar High School. After high school, he began farming on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Linda White on May 25, 1957 in Des Moines at the United Methodist Church. There were three children to this union.
Tom loved sports cars and his dogs. Enjoyed going on vacations all over the world with Linda. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a past member of the Bondurant Federated Church Board and was a Deacon at the church as well. He was a member of the Polk County Farm Bureau Board, the Bondurant-Farrar School Board, the Bondurant Coop Board, and Associate Board Member of the Farm Service Board
Tom is survived by his three children; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; parents; sister, Bev Owings, and brother-in-law, Landon White.
