Funeral service will be held at Garden Prairie United Church of Christ on November 15 at 1pm with Reverend Phil Davis officiating.
Nancy was born in Boone, Iowa, to Bernard and Marjorie Pepper on June 4, 1944. She went to high school at United Community High School and graduated in 1962.
On August 8, 1964 Nancy was united in marriage to Alan Norman Anderson in Boone, Iowa. She went on to earn a license in cosmetology from Thompsons Beauty School. She worked as a cosmetologist in her home for twenty years. She then worked at Iowa State in dining services for ten years. She volunteered as an election official for many years, and was very proud of the contributions to Iowa’s sesquicentennial. She loved working outside, attending her grandchildren’s activities, watching old movies, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Garden Prairie United Church of Christ.
Nancy is preceded in death by her infant sister, Debra Irene, and parents, Bernard and Marjorie.
Nancy is survived by the love of her life, Alan of Madrid; brothers, Mike Rood, Jerry and Tim Pepper; son, Wayne (Angie) Anderson; daughter, Kelly (Steve) Curvin; and six grandchildren, Bryce and Brendan Anderson, Eric Price, Abra, Olivia, and Brady Curvin, and many McVicker-Dutton beloved family members.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to her friends and family for their support in her final days. In the true spirit of our mother, Nancy wanted everyone to know that Elvis is the King and Young Frankenstein is the funniest movie ever made.
