Josh graduated from Franklin Central High School. He then attended Indiana University—Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) pursuing four majors. Following that he began working for FedEx Express in Indiana. He later moved to Ankeny and began working as a ramp agent for FedEx Express at the Des Moines International Airport. He had plans to become an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT). Josh loved to fly airplanes, and he was currently in school to obtain his pilot’s license at Future Flyers of Iowa. He had just recently completed his first solo flight. He had a wide variety of hobbies and interests such retro technology, learning Polish, playing the violin and cello, from-scratch cooking, and could bench 200 pounds. He loved driving his manual Honda Civic, and was proud of the repairs and improvements he made.
Josh is survived by his partner, Elijah Fine; his mother, Debbie Ashman; two brothers, Allan and Tobias; his uncle, John Ashman, and his pets Blondi, Aslan and Suki.
