Jonathan "Jon" Dominic Cutler

Jonathan “Jon” Dominic Cutler, 41, passed away July 10, 2010 at Mercy Hospital after a 10 month battle with cancer. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm, Tuesday, July 13, at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. 1st St., Ankeny. Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 517 SW Des Moines St., Ankeny, with burial in Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Jonathan was born February 2, 1969 in Des Moines. He lived most of his life in Ankeny. He worked at Kingery Auto Sales. He owned and operated the K&C Auto Repair and most recently worked for John Deere in Ankeny.

Jonathan graduated from Ankeny High School in 1987. He attended DMACC’s automotive program and received an associate degree in automotive technology. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoyed the Vikings, playing pool, movies, Star Trek and Science Fiction, and spending time with his family and good friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles, and one cousin. He is survived by his daughter, Ireland Cutler; parents, Sandy and John Cutler; brother, Chris (Susan) Cutler; niece, Lizzy; special friend, Karen Hoff and her daughter, Allie; stepchildren, Conner Turner, Beth McClaren, and Shawn McClaren, and their mother, Lisa; and many good friends, cousins, aunts and uncles.
