Jamyson James Ballard

Jamyson James Ballard was born on April 28, 2022, to Angie Korto Gabriel and Jacob Ryan Ballard in West Des Moines, Iowa. Services will be held at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines on Monday, May 9, 2023 at 11 am. Burial will take place at the Oralabor Cemetery in Ankeny, Iowa.

He was such a happy baby every day of his short life. He had a smile that would instantly charm anyone. Jamyson spent every day knowing he was unconditionally loved by his parents and family. Jamyson passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2023.

Jamyson is survived by his parents, Angie K. Gabriel and Jacob R. Ballard; his big brother, Kayden M. St. Cross (Omaha, NE); grandmother, Christine L. Morrison (Des Moines, IA); grandfather Lester M. Ballard (Omaha, Nebraska); grandmother, Korto Gabriel (West Des Moines, IA); great-grandfather, James E. Ransom (Council Bluffs, IA); uncles, Dawsen M. Ballard (Traer, IA), Nolan J. Snyder (Des Moines); Togbah Gabriel (West Des Moines), Sam Gabriel (Ankeny); and many more relatives.

Jamyson was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Y Gabriel Sr. (West Des Moines) and great-grandmother, Virginia ‘Ginny’ L. Jones (Exeter, MO).
