Pastor Bob Philips has come many times to my mind over the years. I was reminded recently of his talk on God using hornets and angels to get us to the places he wants us to be as I was reading Joshua 24 and there was a reference Pastor Philips had used. It has been a useful and significant teaching for me over the years. In ways Pastor Philips was one of those who kept my feet from stumbling over the years and stayed my course in the Lord. 

I am grateful for this man of God and his gifting and faithfulness as he comes to mind. I am glad I found a thread these years later of where he went after Wyoming and Texas as I had lost touch with his teaching. (Cassette tapes were the thing back in the day.) 

It takes a faithful woman of God to be the needed support for a man that stands up front. I pray you are well Sherry and I am grateful for all you contributed to your husband and children’s lives together to make possible God’s plan to reach many others. Thank you.

I met Pastor Bob Phillips on KRKS, Come up Higher.  God used him to make the word come alive in my life!  So thankful for his service to the Lord.  I have hundreds of his messages from the word of God and they help to construct and direct my path on my journey then and now.  If you can find “Developing the Roots of Christian Character” obtain it!  Rest in Peace Pastor.  I imagine you were welcomed as a faithful servant into eternity.

Pastor Bob sat with me Back stage of Times Square Church to explain the views of the church on Paganism and the effects on the current churches.
I had my arsenal in a folder researched at the 42 Street reference library. He explained to me Gods
 love and the effects of division in the church when it comes to history. He choose love . So I followed his lead as he followed Christ. I loved him. And just came to learn of his passing on to glory. With tears and joy Rest in Peace until the trumpet blows.

Pastor Bob was a biblical scholar , a kind soul and a great man . He will be missed , RIP Brother Bob , prayers to Sherry and the family . 

Pastor Bob Phillips, came to my mind, as I was reading some of his publications; I was wondering if he was still in ministry.  I know God has a special place for him in Heaven, and with many rewards to come.  He was among one of the best bible teachers, pastors in the world..   I feel bless to have been ministered to by him.|

Pastor Bob was a great help to myself and a group of 30 people who attended Times Square Church in the 90's.  We left a cult and his counseling helped set us free from the bondage we were in.  So thankful for him and thankful he is now in the presence of Jesus, our beloved Savior and Lord.  It is always such a comfort to know that we will see him again soon - Jesus is coming soon.

I wish he had been able to read my first book published & dedicated to him in March 2017... "The Seasons of Time" ( http://johnbissessar.info )... Pastor Bob L. Phillips inspired me to write it after fascinating me many years ago when he preached a message entitled "Follow Me" at TSC...

I thank GOD for Pastor BOB Phillips. I thank GOD for the words of he preached that were life changing. In Times Square Church where he served as one of the pastors many years ago.. we always look forward to listen to his preaching and we would stay whole day in church because of our excitement and anticipation to hear more from GOD through his preaching. It is my prayer for the family that you will experience the comforting PRESENCE of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY knowing that he is now in the embrace of the LORD and I do believe GOD said to him among the saints.. " Well done, good and faithful servant!"

Our hearts ache for the pain of the loss you and your family are suffering now, Ron. We would love to have met your brother Bob, obviously a man who walked with and served the Lord, as you and Beatrice do.  May God love and comfort you all with His special grace.

Dear Sherry, Nicole and Andrew,

My deepest and sincerest condolences on your loss; though we know he is with his longed for Lord and Savior Jesus, now and forevermore.

I was schooled by your dad both from the Times Square Pulpit and hundreds of tapes. I like to tell people that I 'cut my spiritual eye teeth' on Bob Phillips. What my ministry is today, I owe in significant part to just how God used 'Pastor Bob' in doing His work in making me fit for loving labor in His field.

Many a time I walked up 51st Street from 8th Avenue on the way to the church, and I would see the four of you on your way for Sunday's 10 a.m. service where your dad would be preaching almost every week.

My most favorite words from your dad were, "Are you hearin' what I'm sayin'?" -- I certainly did!

I miss him from the TSC days, but know that you will all miss him more than I can ever imagine.

God bless you all richly and comfort you most sweetly at this time and into the future as you walk ever toward Jesus' promises; precious and exceeding.

I cannot put into words what this man meant to me! When I first became a christian 27 years ago, Bob Phillips was one of the main pastors at my church. I don't know if I'd still be a christian today if not for the strong, vibrant foundation his teachings placed in my life. I'm saddened to learn that he is no longer with us, but I also know Bob Phillips is not dead. He is alive and well on the other side, and I am so grateful for the life he lived here on Earth.
