Beverly Ruth McCaskey, 91, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at North Ridge Village in Ames. A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Stevens Memorial Chapel with a memorial service following at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Gilbert Cemetery.
Beverly was born February 22, 1932 in Hamilton County, IA to Orvie and Jeanette (Okland) Johnson. She graduated from Stanhope High School in 1949. Beverly married Berwyn McCaskey at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Stanhope on June 28, 1952. She worked at Iowa State University in the registration office prior to having children and she also volunteered at Mary Greely at the front desk. She loved spending time with her husband and children building a home, babysitting, sewing, and baking and cooking wonderful meals. Beverly and Berwyn enjoyed wintering in Arizona for many years as well.
Beverly is survived by her three children, Jamey, Jody (Roxane), and Jaylene McCaskey; three grandchildren, Kate (Tony) Kanne and their two children, Olivia and William, and grandchildren, Weston and Brent McCaskey; and sister, Bonnie (Richard) Whalen.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and three brothers, Eugene, Dan, and Michael.
