Mrs. Reynolds made a difference in my life. I was assigned to her 6th grade class upon moving to Amarillo in 1970.  My father had died the year before and my heart was in shambles. I moved from a school that had six in my class to a school where I had six in my row. I was scared, lonely, and any other emotion you might could think of filled my day. Mrs. Reynolds loved me!  She inspired me and helped me make it through one of the most difficult years of my life. 

I now have a classroom of my own and for 33 years I have sought to make a difference in the lives of my students. 

I wrote her a thank you letter after I began teaching. I also stopped in at the Machine Shop on occasion to visit her. 

Thank you for sharing such a sweet lady with me. 

Heaven gained one of the best this week!
