Nowata, Oklahoma resident, Ruth Anna Hulett passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 with family at her side. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday December 13, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Entombment: Mrs. Hulett will be interred at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Amarillo, Texas where her daughter, Lorena, is also interred. Ruth was born January 10, 1923, in rural Phillips County, Kansas on the family farm northeast of Logan, the second oldest of ten children born to Phillip and Janie (Griffin) Zillinger. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church, at the age of 3 months, with two aunts as her sponsors. She later joined, and was baptized, in the Southern Georgia St. Baptist Church. Ruth attended country schools for eight years, and went to Phillipsburg, Kansas, High School. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilt making, and writing letters. Ruth married Albert Marcel Meis (deceased) in Hays, Kansas, on May 14, 1941, and to that union three children were born; Lorena (who preceded her in death in 1992 at the age of 47), Judy (who preceded her in death in 2007 at the age of 61) and Lon. She married David Lee Hulett, on July 3, 1954, (who preceded her in death in 2005 at the age of 76). Ruth is survived by her son Lon Meis and wife, Deborah of Owasso, Oklahoma: seven grandchildren; Bob Sieber of Nowata, Oklahoma; Dave Sieber of Pampa, Texas; Richard McGoldrick of San Diego, California; Roxanne Owens of Santee, California; Barbara Wagnon and Mike McGoldrick both of Sierra Vista, Arizona and Craig McElroy of Seattle, Washington; 18 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister; Marian King of Hays, Kansas and two brothers; Andrew Zillinger and wife Betty; Ray Zillinger and wife Donna; of Phillipsburg, Kansas.
