Rodney Lee Elliott

Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Cross Pointe Church. Arrangements are by Griggs Schooler Gordon Funeral Directors 5400 S. Bell.

Rodney was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. He attended Tascosa High School and completed two years of courses at Amarillo College. He enrolled in the Army January of 1973, and was stationed in Key West, Florida, and Fulda, Germany. He worked at Bekins Van Lines, Affiliated Foods, Crouse-Hinds and AIG.

Rodney was preceded in death by his mother, Roy Pyeatt, in 2001, his father, Richard L. Elliott, in 1955 and his stepfather, Glenn O. Pyeatt, in 1986.

Rodney is survived by his wife Sharla Ann Elliott of Amarillo; two brothers, Stan Roy Elliott of Amarillo and Jay Richard Elliott of South Dakota; a half-sister Rhoda Ann Isgrigs of Missouri; two sons, Matthew Lee Elliott of Austin and Brent Lee Elliott of Corrinth; two stepsons, William Andrew Price and Seth Aaron Price of Amarillo; six grandkids and one on the way.

The family will be at 5304 Nevermind Place and suggests instead of flowers that donations be made to the National MS Society at www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate in his honor.
