Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Chapel of Memories, with T.W. McClinton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Mike was born in 1934 in Peking, Beijing, China. During World War II, his home was invaded by Japanese. Later in 1948, he was adopted by an American soldier. Mike loved America; he joined the Air Force and fought during the Korean War. He was married to Gladys Taylor for 40 years; she passed away in 2008.
Mike’s profession was in furniture upholstery. He raised his family in Amarillo. He loved to go fishing and spend time with his family and friends. Mike enjoyed breakfast and took his family to eat at Henry D’s in Amarillo. Mike was respected and loved by his family and friends. We were very fortunate and blessed to have him for all these years.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Taylor, Bliss Taylor and Criss Taylor; three grandchildren, Miranda Taylor, Taz Taylor and Stephen Taylor; 26 other grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
