Mary Ellen Gregg, 90, of Amarillo, passed away on June 15, 2022. Services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 10:00am at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6969 I-40 East, with Baldo Munoz officiating. Graveside service will be held at Dreamland Cemetery, Turkey, TX at 3:00 on Saturday. The family will receive friends Friday, June 17, 2022 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
She was a quilter and worked as a screen printer and sewer for many years. She also enjoyed dancing. Her family meant the world to her and family reunions were always special to her.
She is survived by a son, Ira Burris; three daughters, Barbara McNabb and husband Johnny, Mary Anderson and husband Gerald, and Devora Ann Gonce, all of Amarillo; five brothers, Roy Turner, of Washington, Billy Turner, of Del Rio, TX, Danny Turner, of Perryton, James Turner, of Pampa, and Truman Turner, of Amarillo; one sister, Joyce Lerum, of Minnesota, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews as well.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gregg Jr.; a son, Donald Burris; brothers, Archie, Kenneth, Johnny and David Turner; and a sister, Reba Druba.
The family would like to thank Heritage Convalescent Center for the loving and compassionate care of Mary Ellen through the years.
