Martha Sue Dillard, nee Allen, passed away Friday, November 18 at the venerable age of 87, in Amarillo, Texas. She was born to Hoyt and Dena Allen, September 29, 1935. She was the treasured baby sister of big sister, ElMarie, 10 years older.
Martha met and married Wallace Dillard in Borger, Texas while still a high school student. She married very young, before graduating from high school on February 22, 1954. She and her husband lived many years in New Mexico, then had an enjoyable retirement at their property at Possum Kingdom in central Texas. After Wallace's death in 2006, she moved to Odessa, Texas to continue to participate in Commemorative Air Force activities as she and Wallace had done for many years.
She was always a gentle, easy to please person who was so very enjoyable to be with. She will be missed.
