Madeline was born June 10, 1919, in Goltry, Okla., to Fred and Milly Tarr and went home to be with her Lord on Dec. 28, 2011.
She was welcomed into heaven by her husband of 49 years, Frank McMahan; her parents, Fred and Milly Tarr; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Lizzie McMahan.
She resided in Amarillo since 1963 and was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church since 1964.
Madeline’s joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobby was playing bridge with numerous bridge clubs. Her
Christian walk and example of
discipleship of her heavenly father’s love showed in everything she accomplished.
Survivors include two sons, Fred McMahan and wife Carolyn of Amarillo and Joe McMahan and wife Phylis of Canyon; a sister, Rose Kirshner of Enid, Okla.;
four grandchildren; four great-
grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
The family suggests memorials be to Gideons International,
