J.D. was a man of many interests, hobbies and most importantly; love. He loved his family, serving his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years, bowling, telling jokes and caring for children while on the various military bases on which he served. J.D. was known for being a leader, for years after serving his country, those that served under him would thank him for his skills, keeping them alive and teaching them to lead others. J.D. loved music often serenading others with his low-bass voice or whistling some of his favorite tunes. J.D. was always excited to find a new model train, whether it be to collect for himself to or to give to a child without. Above all, J.D. loved life. He loved living and was never one to let things get him down. His warm personality was infectious and he will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
