Janice Hoobler Robertson of Amarillo, passed away in her home with her husband Ralph and daughter Rhonda by her side on August 18, 2023. Visitation will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 from 5-7 pm at Griggs Schooler Gordon Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 10 am at Griggs Schooler Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel with Dr. Hal Rogers officiating with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born on October 30, 1944 in Amarillo, Texas to Doyle and Virginia Malson. Janice was raised in Amarillo attending Amarillo public schools and graduating from Amarillo High School in 1963. She retired from Corporate Systems in 2004 after working there 15+ years as a data controller. She was fortunate to find two loves during her lifetime. She married Rodney Hoobler on May 23,1964 after his passing away in 1985 she met Ralph Robertson and they married on November 8, 2005 and they spent 17 wonderful years traveling, going gambling and spending time watching her 4 grandsons playing football and baseball. She was their biggest cheerleader and supporter. She also enjoyed every minute she could spending time her handsome great-grandson Bowen, and her 4 adorable great-granddaughters Lila, Jordee, Amelia, and Danni. They called her Grandma Janice.
One of Janice’s biggest joys was to spending time with her family. She loved to always cook a big meal and have everyone over. She loved the holidays. She would enjoy having all of the kids over for Thanksgiving for a big meal. She would also decorate at Christmas and have everyone over. She cherished every minute she spent with her kids. She had many close friends and was always the life of the party. In her earlier years she enjoyed going dancing.
She is preceded in death by her parents Virginia and Gene Ledbetter; her husband Rodney Hoobler; her brother Doyle A. Malson.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Ralph; her children Randy Hoobler and wife Tonya and her daughter Rhonda Harp and husband Leonard. Grandchildren Ty Hoobler and wife Kylie, Tanner Allen and wife Callie; Taylor Hoobler and Tucker Hoobler. Great grandchildren Bowen Hoobler, Lila Hoobler, Jordee Allen, Amelia Hoobler and Danni Allen.
