James William Havron of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on December 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 73 years old. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, with Pastor Anthony Paredes officiating.
James was born on October 6, 1951, in Wellington, Texas, to Etsel and Ethel Marie Havron. He was one of nine blended children and was raised in both Wellington and Amarillo. James was a devoted ladies' man, and his loved ones were the center of his life. His work as a master carpenter brought him great satisfaction, particularly his custom cabinet creations. As a younger man he enjoyed spending time at the racetrack. He also enjoyed gardening, aquarist woodworking, playing bingo, and tinkering with clocks and many other hobbies. He loved to talk like Donald Duck.
A hardworking and selfless individual, James was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He is preceded in death by his parents, Etsel Havron and Ethel Marie Perry, and his stepmother, Vivian Nutt.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Christine Havron, Jennifer Havron, Marlana Fluke and husband Darrin, Bobbie Havron, and Tiffany Havron; his siblings Norman Havron, Vivian Havron, Nora Havron, Billy Jones, Donna Lindsey, Johnnie Singleton, Jena Perry, and Milton Perry; along with thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
