Mrs. Johnson was born March 31, 1938 in Bennett, Iowa to Arnold and Kathleen Miller.
She graduated from Coe College and St. Luke’s School of nursing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After living overseas for several years during her husband’s early employment with Rockwell International, the family returned to the states and settled in Texas, where Mr. Johnson continued to work for Rockwell.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles whom she married in 1961.
Survivors include a daughter Jill Ratliff and husband Ron, a son Andy Johnson, four grandchildren; Michael Johnson and wife Meagan of West Branch, Iowa, James and Jonathan Bayless, Mia Leggett and husband Vance of Albuquerque, New Mexico, one great-grand child; Linden Leggett, one brother; Wes Miller of Clarence, Iowa.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Faith Southwest United Methodist Church, where she served as a greeter every Sunday morning.
