On Thursday, October 1, 2015, Greg Pace 44 of Amarillo, TX passed away due to an accident. Greg was born in the town of Amarillo in Potter County Texas on November 30, 1970. He was the only child of Lois and Charles Pace. Greg grew up with many cousins, aunts and uncles. Greg graduated from from Tascoasa High School class of 1989, where his skills of advance woodworking earned him a first place trophy with his oak roll top desk, which continues to be admired today due to the leadership of Lyndai Hopper (shop teacher). Greg graduated from the naval academy January of 1992 serving our country, and then received a medical discharge due to a knee injury. Greg further served the community once completing the Amarillo Police Department Academy in 1996. Greg also served in the Potter County Sheriff’s Department as a Corporal, with many accomplishments of writing grants for the betterment of the department. Greg seeking other opportunities was currently working on acquiring skills as a machinist. Greg’s passion was preserving vintage vehicles, customizing and painting with the guidance from David Rivers (friend). He was a very accomplished bowler alongside his farther with many trophies to show their abilities of winning many tournaments. Greg loved his two dogs both are with loving families and misses him terribly.
Survivors include Jessie and Charles Casida, Mary Lou and Clyde Winders, Francis Warden, Helen Green, Jack and Shirley Payne, Wanda and Travis Trulock, Sue and Tom Davey, Kenneth Pace, many cousins loved him.
High school friends that continue to to love Greg, Jeff Cameron, David and Summer Rudder, Matt Haskins, John Burnett and Rhonda Clarck. A special friend Amy Burk and Kenny Alford.
