Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Bill was born Aug. 14, 1929, in Bartlesville, Okla., to Chester and Mary Loflin. Bill married Catherine Widowski on Dec. 22, 1946.
Bill was an industrial insulator for more than 50 years. He was a member of National Asbestos Workers and Insulators Local No. 66. Bill had a strong work ethic and believed in putting in an honest day’s work.
He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Bill was a man of great integrity and very loyal to the people he loved. His wonderful sense of humor, quick wit and many sayings will be remembered always. His hobbies included creating and repairing just about anything, from doghouses to bicycles of the neighborhood children. Bill was most defined by his love and commitment to his family, which is a legacy that lives in those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine; two daughters, Linda Teague and Rose Harley; and a son, Billy John Loflin Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Needham and husband Bill of Amarillo and Brenda Wright and husband Cal of Levelland; a son-in-law, Stan Teague of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday before the service at the funeral home.
